poster ideas and props/hair for avatars

These two are ideas i had for the posters, the first plays with the words we defined. It lists the three and makes you wonder where you can find them then below you have Lambeth college with a question mark which signifies an answer. The second is similar to the first but focuses primarily on creativity. For the second poster i would eventually use 3ds max to create the images but for the mock up i used simple images i created in photoshop.
This is hair i created using the head created by alex, i simply copied the area at the top of the head and manipulated it to look like hair, i used basic drawings as a base for the hair structure.

This is one of the props for the various avatars, i decided to take up the builder model so as you can see this is a builder helmet. I used a similar process to the creation of the hair to create the helmet.

Hand Drawn Logo

I really like the idea of something like that but it keeps going wrong when I try it even though its actually very simple. Just so we can still consider something like this tomorrow

Logos

Some examples of almost entirely visual logos. In these cases, though, it's easier beacause of the relation to a particular product: something that can not work for a college.

Visit to Lambeth College

This is what emerged from today's meeting with the client:

Logo: it has to show the concept of identity/individuality yet creativity, possibly through the use of more than one color (or all the colors from the color palette). The shapes have to be dynamic, represent movement, possibly "related" to circles and curves. "Lambeth College" has to be entirely written and not just the initials have to be shown. The words should be accompanied from a symbol or a vectorized image. The weight of the typeface shouldn't be very heavy.

Promotion: it was decided that the advertisement for the college should be something completely different from the current one: avoid to show those cliche pictures of students chatting together, or pictures of the actual school. Instead, the client is inclined to a more graphic approach to the concept, maybe showing some elements/objects that can be easily and quickly related to the school and the target audience. The client has named some object that he feels are closely linked to the college: books, computer, trees, lake, clouds, wood, curves, shell, brick...
Dynamism should be displayed in the advertisement too.
The designers suggested a possible connection between the prospectus and the posters, that could be turned into "something more than a poster", into something that students would like to pin up in their room.
Another approach, could be an ironic/satiric one. The negative reputation the borough of Lambeth has, reflects negatively on the college since it carries it name: this is something that could be approached ironically and used as a strength.
It would seem that the college logos are far younger and rely more on logos than the actual name of college. Perhaps a logo that is just name based (using good typo) and more university looking will appeal to the students? instead of cheesy vector shapes?
